Betty Jean McCloud was the daughter of Izora and Lee Andrew Goodman. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Betty’s primary education took place at Indianapolis Public School #110 Julian D. Coleman. Her secondary education was not completed at Arsenal Technical High School where she completed the 11th grade.
Betty Jean was married to William Henry McCloud and they had three children.
Betty was employed at CVS warehouse where she worked as a supervisor. She held a position at the Magic Pan Restaurant as sauce pan cook. She retired from work to be a stay-at-home mother.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age and would often quote the 23 Psalm. She was a member at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a loving and caring person. She had a love for life. She was full of life and many would state she was the life of the party.
Betty departed this life on August 9, 2018. She is preceded in death by her mother Izora Goodman and father Lee Andrew Goodman.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Tory Anderson; two sons William A. McCloud and Jason L. McCloud; four sisters Doretha, Derotha, Lena Dorothy and Carolyn Goodman; two uncles Leroy Tealer and Joe Jackson; seven grandchildren Dynasty McCloud, Chrisean Holloway, Artez Anderson, Jana’e Anderson, Antawan McCloud, DeAnthony McCloud, and Jason Woods McCloud; three great-grandchildren Tae’shaun McCloud, Londyn McCloud, and Ashlynn McCloud; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A service will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Visitation will take place at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am.
